We then set up a trip to the post office, where the children went to deliver their letters.
We then extended their learning by setting up a post office in a role-play situation, within the nursery.
The children used their skills to:
- Create letters from their increased development in emergent writing, to build on their phonic skills.
- Learn how to wait in a queue to buy stamps
- Post letters at a counter
